ABOUT US

The Fellowship is a Christian church focused on following Jesus in the way of peace, justice, and community.

We were founded in 1975 and have been actively at work in the St. Louis community ever since.

We seek to embody Jesus' way as individuals, in the church, and with the world.

Personal Journey

We live in a world shaped by power and control, and we gather to explore another way of being human, teaching and preaching against war, practicing community discernment, and deepening our relationship with God through Bible Study, prayer, and worship.

WHAT WE DO

We are called to build up the body of Christ through all aspects of life. We share in monthly common meals, serve the greater St. Louis region in various ways, offer care to each other at times of crisis or transition, support children in their growth, and welcome people from all walks of life, with diverse theological perspectives. We're open to any question as we seek to follow Jesus and live out the Good News.

OUR COMMUNITY

SLMF is an Anabaptist covenanted community. Every year, each member of the congregation signs a membership covenant. This document ties us together as an intentional community, trying to live  as disciples of Christ.

Meet our Pastor

I started serving the SLMF community in the role of pastor in 2023. In addition to serving alongside the amazing folks at SLMF, I run a nonprofit that works with faith communities to prepare for the impacts of climate change and climate-induced migration through resiliency practices.

I believe that an informed and engaged faith allows humans to better understand, contextualize, and move through this life with compassion, meaning, purpose, and love. And, ultimately, my role as a pastor is to walk alongside others as we all strive for mercy, peace, and justice amidst the challenges of living flourishing lives in a dehumanizing society.

I graduated from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (Master of Arts in Public Ministry; Ecological Regeneration) and Ohio University (Master of Science in Geological Sciences; Aqueous Geochemistry, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geology). I also serve on the cabinet of the Interfaith Partnership of Greater St. Louis, the advisory board of the Parsonage Project, the board of the American Baptist Creation Justice Network, and I'm a ministry Co-Creator through the American Baptist Home Mission Society as well as a fellow with Invested Faith.

I always love meeting people and would love to grab a cup of coffee. Feel free to email me at stlmennopastor@gmail.com to schedule a time to connect.
